What the kids were doing

And just what were the kids terrorizing while I was making cards...nothing! I took a SheetLoad pattern and made card kits for them to work on. So they were able to contribute to our stash. I am not sure how many we had all together, at least 30. They both worked very hard on them too. My mom had bought me a bunch of Christmas stickers last year. We tried to use them up too. They were pretty good about not fighting over which sticker they wanted to use. Shane really likes the Stickles. He wants to use them all the time. Even when he wasn't working on his own cards, he was asking to help me. Rya was into the glitter. We glittered somethings, and forgot to use them. Rya set up her little tray, and had the banana chair tipped over behind her. She said it was her office. So of course then Shane had to set up his own too. He had EVERYONE of his pencils out, and lined up next to him.

What I have been doing

This is what I have been doing instead of scrapbooking. Pretty much all stamps were CTMH, with the exception of the inside greeting. I have 2 of those. I hope nobody we send cards to, ever notices it is the same greeting every year. LOL! I used Martha Stewart glitter. I love it! I got 2 different little Christmas themed sets from Michael's, on sale of course. The papers were all sorts of types. One year I was Christmas paper crazy. I only bought 2 sheets this year. I used some from a QVC Christmas set. I have been keeping my Christmas papers and things like that in the QVC Christmas box I got last year. That way when I was finally in the mood for cards, I just had to grab that, and a few other things...that took over the coffee table and couch. Mike was going insane with my mess. Some of my cards weren't as exciting as they were in my head, but I posted them anyways. I used a couple Sheetloads, to knock out more at once!!!

2 More

This is a LO using Rya's second kindergarten pic. Why they need 2, I don't know. I had to scrap it anyways. I took a white piece of Bazzill CS.
Stuck a Heidi Swap Mask on it. (Floral bouquet)
Sprayed Glimmer Mist on it. (Pink Ink)Then I matted the pic with some CTMH paper. I used a QK font for the title(Snowday). The jeweled brads are from Karen Foster.
(As I get looking at this, I think this was the fall pic they took...ah crap! Oh well I am not changing the title.)

For the Boys LO, I used a sketch out of PageMaps. The woven labels are from Making Memories. The paper clips are alphaclips from Paper Studio. They are fun to use. They don't give many clips, or letters. So hopefully once you use it once, you can still get more uses out of it. The PP is from "The Goods" American Crafts. I got it off of QVC. I have been trying to use those impulse buy items more often.

Online pictures make good embellies

The Halloween LO: I have been hording these themed papers and stickers from Creative Imaginations for quite awhile now. So YEAH, I am 2 years behind, but someday I will get caught up. The little coffin tag was from a swap I was in on Scrapbook.com. So I didn't make it. I used it to tie in the second page a little better. For the Superman pics, I just searched on line for some pics and printed them off. I used QK to make the title (Khaki font) and pumpkins.

I used a BYOM kit from October. It was Cosmo Cricket paper and rub-ons. I printed the title off from LBT's website. Also got the CD cover off of there. I print them off on picture paper. Gives them a more professional look. IT really helps when you can't buy certain themed embellies.

Interesting Color Challenge

Here is the color challenge I did. I found it over at Mommy Scraps. It used CTMH inks/paper. Sorbet, Taffy, Garden Green, and Bamboo. I didn't have the Sorbet color the other day when I actually started the card. Thanks to Khristi doing an evening delivery, I was able to add it in where I wanted it. I used CTMH stamps Treasure Love, With Love, and SU Riot of Petals. I love that background stamp. I had to have it. It worked great with these colors too.

Parading Around

Photobucket
Photobucket
I got asked, if I would make Pebbles and Bam Bam costumes for Rya and Shane. They have Dino Days here and there is usually some sort of parade and games they do. Family Matters is the local clothing store here and my aunt wanted my kids to be in their float. My sister also, whipped up a Barney costume for Jesse. They all rode on the float. I didn't get great pics of the parade but I did get some of the kids hanging around waiting. The banner said "There is nothing prehistoric about our fashion". So the bigger kids were in new stuff and the younger ones had their prehistoric outfits. It was pretty cute.
The papers are My Mind's Eye, Signature Suite. I used my QK a lot here. The alphabets are Roxy and Zoe. I used my CTMH markers to had some depth to the dinosaurs and bones. The bones made great photo corners.

At The Park

For this LO, I used one of Becky Fleck's Pagemaps. The papers are from the June BYOM kit. They are American Crafts Amplified Line. The letters are Thickers, Jewelery Box. I used the CTMH stamp set, I believe is called Star Stuck, or something similar. The CS was just to plain without something extra.

Layouts and Post-its

Photobucket
Photobucket

I did these LO's with the May BYOM kit. It is all We R Memory Keepers. I am getting to a point with my scrapbooking, that I just want to get "kinda" caught up! These these pics were from like there first time swimming that year, and I had to scrap them. So I grabbed the pics, found a good kit to go with it and scrapped them. DONE! Oh the little journalling notes are Heide Swap. I think they are cute. I love Post-its, and these are just like them. Speaking of Post-its, I one time got a free little dispenser. I use it a lot when scrapbooking. I use them to jot down sketches or other challenges I see online. Also, I have been trying to write down what I use on a LO or card, and then stick it on the back, for when I post them on my blog. That way, I am not sitting there trying to remember where I found a sketch (to give credit) or what papers. Post-its rock!

SK8Rbella

I did this card for a color challenge #31 over at Mommy Scraps. I just used some leftover scraps I had. I knew there was a reason to keep that strip of CS that I die cut out of. It turned into my olive colored border!! Just enough left to make it useful.

Okay, so I totally drew this Bella. I like to draw. There just wasn't the skateboarder chick that I was looking for. So a salute to the Bella creators!! I made one based on their adorable Bellas.

OH SHANE!! LOL

So my kids are at my sisters today. Brandy called me to tell me some funny things Shane did today. First off, Shane is always telling some kind of crazy story. Brandy told him, "Someday you will get rich telling stories." SO then Shane, mind you he's 4, says, "If you give me a dollar, I will tell you a story." LOL Also I guess Brandy had a light bulb sitting on her computer desk for her lamp. So Shane goes over and grabs it, holds it over his head, and says "I have an idea!" LOL Well she had to call me and tell me this, so I had to share. Made me laugh!

Fun One's

Photobucket
I used some CTMH stamps for this. The fun T was from a tag swap I was in.
Photobucket
LOL I love this pic of Shane. He cracks me up. No pun intended!!!
Photobucket
The Christmas one I did with a QVC kit. I keep buying the dang things, because they look soo cute on TV. I ended up using it because it was Christmas, and I wanted to get these pics done.

So Very...sweet, happy, cute

Photobucket

I did this LO using the April BYOM kit. It had Fancy Pants PP in it. The stamp set I used was a SU one called "So Very" I stamped with Staz-on, on to the orange overlay. The little tags on the ribbon, are from Making Memories. I used the Tag Curler. The crown on Shane's head, is a die cut that came with the kit also. The exclamation point is by We R Memory Keepers. It is a glossy chipboard. I used some alcohol inks to give it a marbled look with some fun colors.

When I got the alcohol inks, I had to play with them, but wasn't quite sure how to. So I dug out some microscope slides and practiced on those. I used one color on each one to check out the colors they produced. I then referred back to those glass swatches for this. I will see about posting those soon!!

Moving Hay

This is my LO for the newsletter sketch from BYOM. Those girls come up with some great sketches!! I took the felt border(Queen & Co) and used it as a stencil. I then sprayed some Glimmer Mist, Latte. It made a great border. I added some hay paper. I have had it forever. Just waiting for Grandma to produce some pics with hay in them! The papers are Scrapworks Magpie collection.

Photobucket

It says:
Moving hay...
At Gramma Patti's farm
taking it to Ron's
Wild Wayne on the trailer (seriously, that is what they call him)
Still Snow! March 07

Stampin Up and a little Trampin'

Photobucket

Here is my card I made up for Stampin' Up club. I used a fun Bella stamp. The LO design is from Sheetload of cards. The papers are Stampin Up. I used colored pencils to color her in, while I watch CSI Miami with my hubby.
I also got a little blog candy from Katie. There were only 2 of us who did her card sketch. I got a cute little mailbox with some fun moose images. They are cute, and I can't wait to color them.
Photobucket

While over at Khristi's for a little Trampin' get-together, I got some more goodies. Katie decorated this fun little box of yummy colored candy, and a fun little calendar book!! Khristi gave some fun little CTMH coins too! Not to mention the fun little paper pack Barb got us all.

Miss Kitty's Anatomy

Here is a LO of my Kitty's little babies.

Why "anatomy"?? The journaling says:

Miss Kitty was very proud of her kittens. Slick is the black and white cat. We name the rest after Gray's Anatomy. Meridith is the all gray one. Izzy was gray with white paws. Christina was gray with a little white one her. Slick was the only male.

Mike named Slick. So we couldn't call him McDreamy.

Martha's Blog room

Photobucket

Okay so I was checking out Martha's Daily Blog. And she was showing her "BLOG ROOM" Yes! She actually has a blog room. I am envious a bit. I barely have a scrapbook room. Which that will have to be moved when Rya and Shane are ready to have their own room. If they were only both girls or both boys... No, but my stuff will probably go out to the garage. It is heated and there is enough room. Oh that will be a sad day. Anyway, here is some of my room how it WAS, when it was clean. When I can afford an awesome garage room, then...I will post them. WAY LATER! (Rya and Shane, can't we just put a divider up in your room?)

Invitations

Here are the invites I made for Rya's party. I used the Sizzix file folder die to make the card. I then embossed it with some fun flowers using the BigShot embossing plates I got. I cut the little cupcake out from a sizzlit die I've had laying around. Stamped "birthday" on the folder tab.(my favorite part of the card) Printed out the info from the computer and BAM! INVITES DONE!

Rya's Birthday Card/Katie's Sketch

Here is the card I made for Rya's Birthday. Which is on the 18Th. She turns 7!!!! I used a sketch that Katie has posted on her blog for a chance to win some blog candy. I basically just needed some inspiration for the card. So go check it out for your chance to win. I used a Bella image I stamped while attending a small image stamping party at Katie's house. I used some papers left over from a kit from her. I used some pink Karen Foster floss to go around the image. I embossed the greed cs with my Quickutz. I used a CTMH birthday stamp. I flipped the sketch a bit. I couldn't get my saying on there how I wanted it to. To add some bling, I used some fun glitter to dress up the frosting.

For Stampin up Club

Here is the card I made for Stampin'Up Club last month. I used one of my kits from Katie I also used Sheetloads August issue for the LO design. It took me awhile, but it had kept me busy while my MIL was here. I was doing alot of double stamping, to make the imgages line up. I had to stamp on the backround and then on my little square, and keep them lined up good.

Swap items I made

I made these for a Secret Pal Altered Item Swap on Scrapbook.com.

I painted the tape dispenser with MM paint(I used a primer first) Then I used a CTMH stamp and stamped on it. I then used some Delta paint I had and traced over the white with a small brush. Some parts of it is free hand. I put my partners initials on the back. This is my least favorite now that I look at it. I should've painted the stickers. When I was finished, I used ModPodge to coat it.

The papers were from a BYOM kit. I got the cute little post-its to match perfectly. Along with the mini sharpies. I love Sharpies!!!

Color Challenge

This was the color challenge on Mommy Scraps blog. You had to use Bubblegum, Kiwi, Sunny Yellow, and Watermelon. CTMH colors of course. I used one of my newest CTMH stamps and colored it with markers. I used my QK daisy embossing die to give some texture. Used my glue pen on the big "S" and parts of the flower and butterfly, then added some glitter. As you can probably see, I didn't dust the glitter off real good. I did this in my sauna of a Scrapbook Room, while Mike watched the All-Stars game that lasted FOR-EV-ER.

This one is a Thank You card I wanted to make for some of my family members I just met at a family reunion. They let everyone hang out at their gorgeous house that is part hanger and live right by the small runway in their little town. Seeley Lake is soo pretty!!! Anyway they live close to the Blackfoot River and we went rafting. This is kind of what it looked like. I about fell into the thing they called "suck hole" Thought it would be the perfect card! Hopefully they like it.

Quick pages

I just used bazzill CS for this LO. I cut some QK oven mit shapes out. I used the Martha Stewart sticky alphabet to spell EASY BAKE. I added some pink glitter to make it sparkle. I also wrote JUST ADD WATER with a glue pen and glittered it. I used a little metal cookie sheet and put a sticky heart on it and glittered it. It went with the heart shaped cookies they were making. I wanted to use all my pics, so to make them all fit good, I did some trimming. I thought that it turned out pretty good. Kind of "old school" but still fun!

For this Easter page, I just opened a paper kit I had lying around. You know, the one you got years ago, and still haven't used??!! To make it fun, I decided to use some Angel Mist. I started with big letter stickers and spelled out EASTER. Then I took my pink paint dauber and inked around it. Wasn't quite the effect that I wanted. So I sprayed the pink mist on it. Little better, but not quite there yet. Then I peeled up the stickers. It left a fun look. Kind of peeled up some of the PP and showed the white core in spots. Let me know what you think.
