Meeting Wrestlers

Mike got a chance to meet some of the WWE wrestlers while he was in Washington. I had already did the quick LOs awhile back of the autographed pics he got, but until now, hadn't done the actual ones he took. I used Bazzill CS and CI (Creative Imaganinations) PP. For the inked edges, I used my trusty CTHM White Daisy ink pad. It is alway out. The stickers used were also CI.

BYOM Newsletter Challenge

I love doing sketches. I also am a big fan of Fancy Pants. So I thought that I would use some pics of the kids when we were in Circle. All the CS is Bazzill. All PP is Fancy Pants, the About A Boy collection. The kit included all these things plus some other goodies, like the FP diecut tags and stickers, and the nesting chipboard by Everlasting Keepsakes. I used my Katie QK alphabet to go with the "retro" part of the "old school" bowling alley. (Movie moment: the part in Clueless pops in my mind right now when the guy is trying on a leather jacket at the mall and says "Yeah, RETRO.") I used a brown Zig marker to do some of my own doodling and a Dark Brown Color Box Chalk for some inked edges. I inked the star with it also.

I had to include the smaller pic because I noticed the old Donkey Kong game to the right of the Jurassic Park game. And this game was there when I was like 6 or 7 playing video games while my parent were in league bowling. LOL I am sure the bowling balls are probably the same too. Sorry Taylor, had to have the pic with the name of the place in it. LOL!! Now days, parents tend to leave the kids home when they are on a league. I guess the video games made it alright. "Hey kids! We should all go to the MInt. The "big people" can get drunk, while you play the new driving game!" Just kidding...KIND OF! LOL if you get that!

Look! I did a "technique!!!"

I took some chipboard that I received in a swap and painted it white with my new paint from my CTMH distressing kit. When it was dry, I put some Paper Glaze on it.

Then I sprinkled with some MS Crystal Fine glitter.

I used my Stampin Around DOODLE stamp here. I like to call them my "rolley stamps." I then used some water color pencils and colored in parts of the little flowers and used the SU blender pen. I decided it needed something else, so I took a glue pen and put glue in a few fun spots.

Then I sprinkled glitter on those parts too! YEAH!! GLITTER!

Here is the finished LO. I used CTMH Pink Carnation CS and the orange and black were from Bazzill. The pink and oranges flowers were also from a swap. I found the button in my stash. The ribbon was from the $1 bin at Michaels. My little dots were made with a Sharpie Poster Paint marker. The CTMH Gold Rush ink totally went with my orange CS perfectly. That stamp was from Fancy Pants. The date stamp was from Making Memories and it was stamped with CTMH Pink Carnation.

A close up for you.

A FUN DRAWING

This is soo fun. Katie has been teaming up with Lorie. Lorie has a fun little drawing to win one of Katie's new kits. Check it out here on Live-Love-Laugh-Create and then Check out your favorite thing about Katie's site, 3littledreams. Some real good inspiration can be found at both!

Yesterday Georgia, Khristie, Katie, and me headed to Glasgow for a CTMH party. Khristie had a new consultant and was going to help her with her party. We made a fun little card. Which is still in my purse, so I can't take a pic of it till later. WE had a GREAT time. I tried to give good input without sounding like a know-it-all. I just love CTMH products though and got to have it all...eventually!!!!

Card making

I had fun using my new Bella Stamps. This one is Veggiebella. Super cute. I found some Sweet Leaf paper that was in my Cocoa Cafe Collection from CTMH and some yellow scraps for a mat. I used some gold glitter for my sun and colored in Bella with some watercolor pencils. I used some Paper Glaze on some of the fruit from some extra POP. The ribbon is from a set from COSTCO.

I found the confetti paper in my "old school" stash. I used my Versa Mark ink with my SU Daisy Field roller stamp, then used some green chalk over it. The stamps are Big FLowers from SU. I used a bit of Paper Glaze in the middle of each flower. Then I used some ribbon I got in Katies ribbon Swap. SU I believe. The Happy Birthday Stamp is from CTHM.

The LOVE YOU card is what we made in SU club. It uses the Big on Spring stamp set.

This card was made with Big Blossoms from CTMH. I stamped them with a Versa Mark pad and then but Pearl X powder from ST over them. Sympathy cards are hard to make sometimes. I don't usually give to many out, but I made this one for my Grandma and Grandpa. Julia recenlty lost her Aunt. SO I thought I would try to make something beautiful to cheer her up.

Easter 2006

I did these pages with some color blocked American Craft Paper. The largest corner stamp is from Fancy Pants. I embossed it using Pastel Pink by SU. The other flower stamps are from CTMH. I mainly used Blooming Flourishes and the other one is Simple Beauty. Twilight and Honey were the CTMH colors I used. I had made the eggs awhile back with some oval shaped chipboard. I painted them with some Making Memories paint and used some Pink Shimmerz paint on them. I just remembered that I wasn't gonna post this till I was finished journaling. You get the idea anyways.

Easter Basket

I had gotten this basket from Signature Homestyles and found the paper grass at Albertsons. I used my alphabet stamp set called Baroque from CTMH. I used base and shadow CTMH ink pads. I also made the little eggs using my Speckled Eggs set. I took some skewers and broke them in half to make the letters stand up. I covered the letters in some paper Mog Podge and sprinkled some Crystal Fine glitter from Martha Stewart Crafts.
I then took it for decorations for Easter and gave it to my Mom to put fun plants in.
